There is no shop in Cardington, but Church Stretton, 9kms away has all the necessary shops and amenities. Ley Hill is convienient for visiting Ironbridge and its industrial museums, Ludlow and its castle, Bridgnorth with its high and low towns, 
and Shrewsbury, which has a convenient park and ride. The reknowned Shrewsbury Flower Show takes place during the second week of August. In addition there are many National Trust properties in the area.

If you like views, tranquility and walking, this is an ideal site, but remember to arrive after 12 noon as the lanes are narrow and it is advisable not to meet leaving caravans which should vacate the site before noon. With its heated toilet block, the site would suit those wishing to get away during winter months, even Christmas and New Year.
